A Scientific-Practical Conference Dedicated to the 130th Anniversary of Academician Mustafa Aghabey oglu Topchubashov Will Be Held at Azerbaijan Medical University
On October 30–31, 2025, Azerbaijan Medical University will host a scientific-practical conference titled “Academic Heritage 130: Scientific and Professional Approaches in Surgery” dedicated to the 130th anniversary of prominent scientist, public figure, Honored Scientist, and academician Mustafa Aghabey oglu Topchubashov.
According to the university’s statement to “Tehsil365”, the first day of the conference will include an official opening ceremony and a scientific conference of the university's academic staff. On the second day, a national forum of surgical residents and conferences of the Student Scientific Society (SSC) will be held.
The conference materials will be published in a compiled volume.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts must address current issues in modern surgery and related medical fields and must be original and unpublished.
Abstracts may be submitted in Azerbaijani or English.
Abstracts must be between 3000–3100 characters (excluding spaces), formatted on A4 paper using Arial font, size 12, single line spacing, and the following margins: left – 2 cm, right – 1 cm, top – 1.5 cm, bottom – 2 cm.
Abstract structure must include the following sections, each starting from a new paragraph (1 cm indent): Introduction, Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusion, and Keywords.
The title of the abstract must be written in capital letters. On the following line (with one line spacing), the full names of the authors (surname, name, and patronymic) must be provided. On the next line (with one line spacing), the department name should be written. For external contributors, the institution name should come first, followed by the relevant department or division.
Each abstract may have no more than four authors. A single author may be listed in no more than two abstracts.
The electronic version of the abstract must be submitted by September 30, 2025, to conference@amu.edu.az.
The printed version, including a signed approval (visa) from the department head or scientific supervisor on the first page, must also be submitted by September 30, 2025, to the Department for the Management of Scientific Research, Azerbaijan Medical University.
Abstracts that do not meet the above requirements will not be accepted for publication.
