On August 13, 2025, an orientation meeting was held with the young people who had earned the title of State Program Scholarship Recipient for the 2025/2026 academic year under the “State Program for 2022–2028.”
According to “Tehsil365” the main purpose of the meeting was to help young people adapt to the upcoming stage of their education, familiarize them with the opportunities provided by the program, and enable them to plan their future more purposefully. The State Program supports Azerbaijani youth in receiving quality education at foreign higher education institutions between 2022 and 2028, providing both financial and organizational assistance.
Among the program’s goals are to enhance Azerbaijan’s intellectual potential and ensure the transfer of international experience to the country. Each year, hundreds of young people are admitted to prestigious universities around the world and receive scholarships. These scholarships not only cover educational expenses but also contribute to the academic, social, and cultural development of the recipients.
The orientation meeting brought together the selected scholarship recipients, as well as representatives of government agencies, education experts, and graduates of the program from previous years. Participants were given detailed information about the scholarship conditions and obligations. They discussed potential cultural and academic challenges they might face while studying abroad. Practical advice was provided on networking and research opportunities overseas.
During the meeting, program alumni shared their personal experiences, offering motivation and useful tips for succeeding in the education process. Through this event, scholarship recipients gained new knowledge and skills, and they also prepared themselves for challenges they might encounter during their studies abroad.
Research shows that the success of students studying abroad depends not only on academic skills but also on their psychological and cultural readiness. For this reason, it is important to enrich orientation meetings with practical training. Mentorship support and active use of alumni networks help speed up the adaptation process. Young people who attend these meetings can plan their future more clearly and gain strategic opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
The orientation meeting for State Program Scholarship Recipients is not held solely to prepare them for their studies; it also serves as a platform for their integration into society and the job market. Participants plan their next steps in education, research, and career development. The program’s long-term goal of encouraging scholarship holders to return to Azerbaijan and apply their knowledge was emphasized.
During the event, recipients also networked with one another, expanding their social and academic connections. This sense of community ensures they have support during their studies abroad. Challenges they may face and the support mechanisms available to them were discussed, and practical recommendations were provided on how to make the most of the program’s opportunities.
The outcomes of the meeting show that such events boost young people’s motivation and prepare them for future success. Recipients enhance not only their academic expertise but also their social and cultural competencies. By identifying possible challenges in advance, they become better prepared for their time abroad. From this perspective, the orientation meeting for State Program Scholarship Recipients holds strategic significance.
The program’s main objective is to strengthen recipients’ knowledge and skills and to encourage them to apply what they have learned upon returning home. These meetings should continue to develop, incorporating more practical training, mentorship, and continuous networking opportunities. Ultimately, the orientation meeting for State Program Scholarship Recipients plays an important role in the personal and professional development of young people and makes a strategic contribution to enhancing Azerbaijan’s young intellectual potential.
