"Tehsil365" reports, citing the press service of the National Paralympic Committee, that on the third day of the competition, three of our para-taekwondo athletes reached the podium.
Amin Aliyev (K44, 63 kg) started his competition from the semifinals. He defeated a Turkish athlete in the semifinals and a Spanish opponent in the final to win the gold medal.
Amin Shikhalizade (K44, 63 kg) and Imran Baghirov (K44, 70 kg) both claimed bronze medals.
In long jump, 14-year-old para-athlete Ayshe Arabova (T11) achieved a distance of 3.47 meters and won her first international tournament.
Our para-judo athlete Huseyn Ismayilzada (J2, 70 kg) earned the bronze medal in a round-robin format by defeating opponents from Türkiye and the United Kingdom.
Sixteen-year-old para-swimmer Ali Valiyev won a bronze medal in the 100-meter freestyle among youth (born in 2009–2010) in a mixed category, finishing with a time of 1:02.15.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani National Paralympic Team had previously won 2 gold and 2 bronze medals at the European Youth Paralympic Games.
