The Secretary-General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), Sultan Raev, has been awarded the “Order of Merit” of Hungary, presented by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and conferred by a decree of the President of Hungary, Katalin Novák.
According to “Tehsil365”, the order was presented to Sultan Raev on August 19 at a formal ceremony held at the Vigadó Palace in Budapest, dedicated to Hungary’s national holiday, St. Stephen’s Day, by Hungary’s Minister of Culture and Innovation, Balázs Hankó.
One of Hungary’s highest state honors was awarded to TÜRKSOY Secretary-General Sultan Raev in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of cultural cooperation and the strengthening of friendly relations between Hungary and the Turkic world.
Expressing his gratitude for receiving such a prestigious state award, Sultan Raev emphasized that he will continue his efforts to strengthen cultural ties and friendship between Hungary and the Turkic world.
TÜRKSOY stated that the recognition of its Secretary-General with such a distinguished award is a great source of pride, reflecting the efforts to promote the shared values of the Turkic world on the international stage.
