Organized by the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, a familiarization trip was arranged for 10 leading Pakistani travel companies starting from August 16. The trip will continue until August 22.
According to “Tehsil365”, the familiarization tour, organized in collaboration with Pakistan Travel Mart, introduced participants to various tourism products in cultural heritage, nature, and historical tourism. B2B meetings were also held between representatives of the tourism industry.
Around 50 local companies took part in the B2B meetings, where opportunities for mutual cooperation and tourist exchange were discussed.
Currently, there are direct flights from Lahore and Islamabad to Azerbaijan.
Between January and July of this year, more than 46,000 Pakistani citizens visited Azerbaijan, which represents a 16 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
