In Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the international news agency “Kazinform” has opened.
According to “Tehsil365”, the exhibition titled “Kazakhstan’s History in Kazinform Photographs” presents unique photo archives—exclusive photographs taken by the agency’s journalists documenting the most significant events in society and state life from the 1930s to the present.
Most of the photos have never been published before and are considered valuable historical sources reflecting turning points in Kazakhstan’s history. “The exhibition showcases the lives of former Kazakh citizens during collectivization and industrialization, the hardships of World War II, the post-war period, major construction projects of the century, and the path to independence,” said Nagashibay Aldan, Managing Director of Kazinform.
The exhibition, which consists of six sections, features a total of 188 photographs.
The photo exhibition will continue until August 31.
