The Azerbaijan Filmmakers’ Union (AFU) will translate the world-renowned bestseller by acclaimed screenwriter and producer Syd Field, “Screenplay: The Foundations of Screenwriting,” into Azerbaijani for the first time.
According to “Tehsil365”, the publishing rights for the book have been acquired for a period of five years. First published in 1979, the work sold half a million copies by 2003 and has been used as a textbook in over 400 universities and colleges worldwide.
Syd Field is an internationally recognized screenwriter, producer, mentor, and bestselling author. “Screenplay: The Foundations of Screenwriting” has been translated into 22 languages to date.
The book serves as a valuable resource for aspiring screenwriters, film students, directors, producers, and anyone involved in writing for the film industry. Comprising 18 chapters, the book will be published by AFU and distributed free of charge to film professionals and students.
It should be noted that the contract was signed with the organizational support of the Roller Bird publishing house and its founder, Afsaneh Yusif.
