International Cinema Days of CIS countries held in Lachin city.
On the occasion of Lachin City Day, the “International Cinema Days of CIS Countries” has been launched.
According to Tehsil365, the project is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of the CIS, and the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA).
On August 26, the opening ceremony of the cinema days was held at the “Lachin” cinema.
The event was attended by Masim Mammadov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, as well as local cinema enthusiasts who have returned to their homeland.
Rashad Gasimov, Head of Department at the State Film Fund, emphasized the importance of hosting the first international cinema event in Lachin. He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and other relevant institutions for their support in organizing the project.
It was noted that during the three-day event, eight films from seven countries will be screened.
Following the opening, participants watched the documentary “Lachin, the Governor and Me” (directed by Amil Amal), produced at the “Hochazfilm” studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency.
The film reflects the life and political activity of Khosrov bey Sultanov, Minister of Defense of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and Governor-General of Karabakh.
After the screening, director Amil Amal expressed his gratitude to all institutions involved in the production of the film and organization of the event.
On the same day, cinema lovers also watched “Nabat” (directed by Rashid Suleymanov, Kazakhstan) and “Esimde” (directed by Aktan Arym Kubat, Kyrgyzstan).
It should be noted that the “International Cinema Days of CIS Countries” will conclude on August 28. The “CIS Youth Camp” is also continuing in Lachin.
