On August 27, an event was held at the boxing gym in Jalilabad city, jointly organized by the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department and the Jalilabad District Executive Authority. The event was officially opened with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Afterwards, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country was honored with a minute of silence.
According to “Tehsil365”, the guests delivered speeches about the history of International Boxing Day, its significance, and the attention and care given to sports. At the end of the event, letters of appreciation from the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department were presented to athletes who had distinguished themselves in boxing.
A total of 70 people took part in the event.
