On August 26, at 5:00 p.m., the solo exhibition “NOMADE BLACK & WHITE” by Kazakh artist Batukhan Baymen opened at the Vagifə Səmədova Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan (19 Khagani Street).
According to “Tehsil365”, the opening ceremony was attended by Alim Bayel, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan; Saadat Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan; and Farhad Khalilov, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.
Batukhan Baymen is one of Kazakhstan’s most renowned contemporary graphic artists. His works stand out for their scale, depth of thought, and distinctive style. Drawing inspiration from the nomadic culture of his ancestors, the artist presents ancient Turkic history, the nomadic world, and shared philosophy through a new artistic prism.
The works showcased in the exhibition are distinguished by symbolic, allegorical, and metaphorical compositions, reflecting the spirit, cultural heritage, and modern outlook of Turkic peoples. The artist often draws inspiration from the works of Abay Kunanbayev, Chingiz Aitmatov, and Alisher Navoi, giving these motifs a special place in his graphics.
The exhibition will run until September 15.
