Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are planning to produce a joint feature film.
According to “Tehsil365”, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, announced this during the opening of the “Month of Kazakh Cinema” in Azerbaijan.
His remarks were published in a statement on the official website of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku.
The Ambassador spoke about the development of Kazakh cinema and drew attention to the growing interest in history in both countries. In addition, he highly appreciated the production of historical films in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
“The diplomat emphasized the importance of promoting such initiatives as a key factor in strengthening Turkic identity and unity. The Ambassador also noted that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are planning to shoot a joint feature film,” the statement highlighted.
It should be noted that the “Month of Kazakh Cinema” in Azerbaijan opened with the screening of Aydin Sakhaman’s film about the legendary “Dos-Mukasan” music band
The Azerbaijani audience was also presented with Olzhas Nurbay’s film Swindlers, which demonstrates the most common fraud schemes and ways to prevent them.
The final film of the cinema marathon was Aydin Sakhaman’s historical film The Kazakh Khanate: Diamond Sword. The events of the film take place in the 15th century, during the period when Khans Kerey and Janibek established a new state.
