On September 1, an event was held organized by the Reader Services Department of the Lerik District Central Library to mark the 140th anniversary of the birth of Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov, the creator of the first opera in the East, a prominent musicologist, scholar, playwright, and educator, a talented publicist, People’s Artist, and State Award laureate.
