On August 2, the "GradFEST2025" graduation festival was held at the Bazar Square located in the White City district of Baku, with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the White City Bazar Square, and organized by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations’ Union (ASYOU).
According to "Tehsil365", the festival, which is considered one of the most magnificent student events of the year, gathered more than 10,000 students. It was dedicated to graduates of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions operating in Azerbaijan.
The main purpose of the event was to bring together graduating students, offer them a festive atmosphere, create a stress-free and entertaining environment after the exam session, highlight the attention and care shown by the state to young people, and strengthen mutual relations between students and state institutions.
During the official opening ceremony, Rashad Zeynalov, Chairman of ASYOU, spoke about the support provided by the government to youth and students, the conditions created for their development, and the importance of such events:
“Today, graduates from various higher and secondary specialized educational institutions across the country have come together here. This is not just a festival – it is a symbol of their long and challenging educational journey. Events like this play a vital role in increasing the social activity of our youth, uniting them, and helping them step into the future with greater confidence. The Azerbaijani state has always stood by its youth, and today we witness this support once again. GradFEST2025 is not only a celebration, but also a day of solidarity and gratitude.”
Later, Yusif Valiyev, Acting Executive Director of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, shared his thoughts on the state youth policy, projects implemented by the Foundation, and the continued nature of such initiatives:
“Today’s Azerbaijani youth are dynamic, proactive, and goal-oriented. As the Youth Foundation, we strive to support their personal development and social and professional activities. The GradFEST2025 festival is a significant platform for celebrating their shared achievements and motivating them to aim higher. Once again, we see how the attention and care shown to youth in our country leave a lasting impact on their lives. I wish all graduates great success in their future endeavors.”
After the official part of the festival, the entertainment program began. Students experienced unforgettable moments through dance performances, DJ sets, and concerts.
Additionally, intellectual games, quizzes, and fun competitions were organized for participants. Winners were awarded various gifts and commemorative prizes.
GradFEST2025 once again demonstrated that the opportunities created for students and youth play a vital role in shaping them into active and responsible members of society.
