An information session was held on the joint dual degree master’s program in “Biotechnology” between Baku State University (BSU) and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI), Israel.
According to BSU’s report to “Tehsil365” the session was led by Shabnam Safarova, Advisor to the Rector on Digitalization and Information Technologies, and Rauf Hasanov, Head of the International Relations Department. It was noted that the dual degree program is implemented based on an agreement signed in May 2023, and all expenses are fully funded by the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Eligible candidates include those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biology Teaching, Chemistry, Chemistry Teaching, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Physics Teaching, or Ecology, with a minimum GPA of 80 out of 100, foreign language proficiency at least IELTS 6 or TOEFL iBT 89+, and who are admitted to a master’s program at any higher education institution in Azerbaijan in 2025.
During the info session, participants were provided with detailed information about the objectives and benefits of the program, admission requirements, application process, studying at HUJI, international academic experience, career advantages, and global prospects.
At the end, numerous questions from students and parents were addressed.
