The Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA) have announced a competition for “State-Commissioned Film Projects for 2025.”
According to “Tehsil365”, applications for the competition will open on September 1.
The competition aims to promote and preserve national and spiritual values, foster patriotism, and artistically express national identity. It also seeks to support the development of the film industry and encourage private sector involvement in the field. Within this framework, projects for the production of full-length feature films will be accepted.
The competition will cover the following themes:
Prominent Azerbaijani figures (cultural, literary, political, sports, etc.);
Historical Azerbaijani states and significant historical events;
Scripts based on Azerbaijani fairy tales and epics;
Heroic characters depicted against the backdrop of modern innovation and technological achievements;
The lives of influential women in Azerbaijani history;
Stories of heroism and struggle during the Patriotic War;
Modern adaptations of classic Azerbaijani films;
Films for and about children with child protagonists;
Musical feature films;
Satirical and topical films dedicated to the 55th anniversary of "Mozalan."
Only legal entities officially registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan and operating in the field of cinematography are eligible to participate. All projects must be submitted in Azerbaijani.
