A new phase in technical education in India

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is implementing innovative programs in higher education aligned with the country's “Viksit Bharat” goals for 2047. The aim is to integrate education with industry to develop a skilled professional workforce for the future.

According to “Tehsil365” citing Education Times, under the 2025-26 Industry Internship Program, experienced faculty members will work in industrial environments for 6 to 12 months to gain practical knowledge in fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, sustainable development, and healthcare.

The Productization Internship program supports students in developing prototypes in areas like artificial intelligence, green technology, and robotics. The “YUKTI Innovation Challenge 2025” offers mentorship and funding opportunities for over 5,000 technological projects.

The “Bhasha aur Bhavishya” initiative promotes the use of Indian languages in technical education, fostering linguistic equality. The industry-academia innovation cluster established in Visakhapatnam will encourage local inventions and entrepreneurship.

AICTE’s multifaceted strategy empowers educators, nurtures creativity among students, enhances language inclusivity, and builds regional innovation ecosystems. The ultimate goal is to transform India into a global hub of innovation.
