Maher Maharramov, a glass artist and lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Karabakh University, will present his glass carpet titled “Dervish” at the International Biennale of Glass (IBG) in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to “Tehsil365”, the biennale, which will run from September 18 to November 30, aims to promote glass art on a global scale, showcase innovative techniques and approaches, and foster international creative exchange among artists.
Within this framework, Maher Maharramov’s work was selected by a specially appointed commission for exhibition, being highly valued both technically and aesthetically.
It is noteworthy that, for the first time, our country has secured a place among 50 nations on a European platform, marking a historic achievement. This success not only represents the recognition of Maharramov’s individual creativity but also serves as a gateway to the international recognition of Azerbaijani glass art.
Maharramov’s glass carpets have been showcased not only at exhibitions but also at various international scientific conferences, with scholarly articles published about his works.
