Azerbaijani students have achieved remarkable results at the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad (IOAA 2025), held in Mumbai, India, from August 11 to 21.
According to “Tehsil365”, Azerbaijani students won 2 bronze medals and 2 honorable mentions in the Olympiad, which included both theoretical and practical rounds.
Oqtay Latifli, an 11th-grade student at the Baku Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics Lyceum, and Məhəmməd Cəfərli, a 10th-grade student at Baku Technical-Humanitarian Lyceum No. 147, received honorable mentions. Raiq Babazadə and Aqil Güləliyev, also from the same lyceum, won bronze medals.
The Ministry of Science and Education congratulated the students and wished them even greater achievements in the future.
