Federal and state funds in Germany are allocating investments to create modern, environmentally friendly, and accessible educational infrastructure at 110 selected Startchancen schools. The project includes new construction, renovations, and modernization measures, as well as the procurement of equipment that supports education.
According to Bildungsklick, as reported by “Tehsil365”, Education Minister Steffen Freiberg stated that the Start Opportunities program aims to increase educational equity and weaken the link between social background and educational success. Under the program, €533.5 million will be invested in 110 schools in Brandenburg, benefiting approximately 32,000 students.
The program is built on three main pillars: providing modern infrastructure and equipment, a needs-based school and teaching development budget, and strengthening a multidisciplinary staff. Applications will be accepted via the ILB portal starting in October.
