The European Humanities University (EHU), founded in Minsk in 1992, was forced to cease its operations in Belarus in 2004 by the decision of the Belarusian authorities and has been operating in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, since 2005.
“Tehsil365” reports, citing “Радыё Свабода,” that EHU has joined the Bologna Process and awards European diplomas. The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees in the humanities and social sciences. Courses are taught in English, Belarusian, Lithuanian, and Russian.
The majority of students are Belarusians. In 2023, the university hosted an exhibition dedicated to imprisoned activists of the trade union movement in Belarus.
